Midsummer with the Leggatts

On Midsummers Eve, we woke up to the sound of rain hammering on the widowsill. The weather has a tendency of disappointing Swedes on midsummer, but this was by far the worst I can remember. Armed with umbrellas and warm sweaters, we drove off to celebrate with the Leggatts and Jarlengrips. "The company will be nice at least", we mumbled as we comforted ourselves with hamburges at our pit stop on our way to Åsa. No need to worry. After some fika with Karin's parents, a midsummer celebration under ominous gray skies that just ended when we got there, and making a hasty escape from a boule death match tainted by the memory of last years defeat, the Gods of Valhalla exchanged their frown for a radiant smile, lasting all the way through the sill, snaps, färskpotatis and eventually the earth-geezers (jordgubbar), when the sun had finally set. What a lovely day it was! A big thanks to Karin and Garth for inviting us!
