Wolf Creek

And now, a film review!
Yes, it's time to give the blog a little variety and not just story after story about me getting pissed and falling down the stairs!
Well, here it is. I'd like to recommend the soon to be released film "Wolf Creek" to you all, a new Aussie film which should be screening soon in Europe.

While I've not actually seen the film, I've heard (from reliable sources) that this is one of the best examples of it's genre, a real cliff-hanger, a must see. Apparently, people back home have been so terrified during the preliminary screenings they've been scared out of the cinema (after being "scared in" of course).
While many of you may not be able to stomach horror/slasher type films, this one may prove to be a little different. Said to be "The Australian Blair Witch Project", it's loosely in the Hitchcock style with a completely unpredictable plotline (unlike so many other films which are painfully simple to forecast). Basically, the film is loosely based on a true story... three English backpackers who plunge into a hellish nightmare after meeting and accepting help from a (seemingly) friendly local in a rather isolated part of Australia.

I hope it hits the Swedish cinemas soon for I really miss Australian films. I only hope that I don't feel TOO much sympathy for the homicidal maniac when watching "Wolf Creek" (personally, I too have experienced violent urges towards British and American backpackers and their relentless "Crocodile Dundee" taunts!).
